On July 15, 2023 Teams will line up to the first ever “Build your Boat Echo Lake Plywood Regatta” hosted by Amphibious Response Support Unit ONE and Prairie Co-Op at the Echo Valley Provincial Park.
We’re inviting you to participate in this adventure packed day where you and a team of shipmates will build a boat out of plywood, nails and duct tape (that we will supply) and race along the mighty waters of Echo lake competing against other teams to win the coveted “Golden Paddle” .
There will be lots of prizes not only for those who complete the race, but for teams that stand out from the others in various categories.
Tou can compete as an individual or as a team. We have a limit of 30 competitors so get your registration in soon as registration is based on a first come basis.
Join us for this whole day of fun.
Visit the displays and participate in the many programs going on all day.
There will be music, vendors, food and lots of action in-on and near the water. Admission to visitors is free of charge (park entry fees apply), but a donation is always appreciated.
So mark your calendar July 15, Saturday rain or shine at Echo Valley Provincial Park. Programs start from 9 am. Race starts at 2 pm.
When we set off to launch our fundraising calendar project, we wanted to tell a story, share some adventures, and to show you a little bit about what do. We also wanted to make this calendar stand out from the rest, by adding in some interesting fun facts each month that we call "Did you knows". Our belief is that we have put out more then just a calendar and that you will enjoy it as much as we have creating it (keep in mind this is a 24 month calendar).
By purchasing a calendar, you are helping us to help save lives, to educate and to lead by example in protecting the lakes, rivers and shorelines where we operate.
All proceeds go directly to our unit.
Thank you goes out to our many partners who support our efforts and who have agreed to promote the sales of this calendar through their business. We encourage you to visit these partners, all of who have shown their commitment to supporting our organization.
I, K9 Gusztav aka Portside’s Gusztav (aka Saskatchewan’s water rescue dog in training) turn 2 years old on Monday, the 1st of February and want to tell you that you are invited to my Birthday, but this year we have to do things a bit different, and follow the public health guidelines to help keep everyone healthy and safe, So, instead of you coming to my birthday party, how about we take the party to you. You can celebrate by ordering some great food from Tommy’s Speakeatery on February the 1stfrom 6 pm, and the first 25 orders for take-out or delivery will get a slice of my birthday cake!
Wondering what to get me for my birthday, well why not add a calendar to your order ($15 each), and it will be sent with your food, or just make a donation to ARSU1, and it will help in my training and for the team to purchase some life saving equipment.
Don’t forget to share your celebration with us on facebook or twitter.
If you are among the lucky people who can reserve a table at Tommy’s you’ll have a chance to see me (who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too). Special thanks to Tommy’s Speakeatery and Edina’s Special Cakes – we’re so happy that you are our partners).
Yours sincerely K9 Gusztav
